On October 23rd , 2018, Cao Thang Eye Hospital, the first accredited JCI eye hospital in Vietnam, is honored to welcome Mr. John Yoon, Managing Director for JCI Asia Pacific office and Ms. Marina Tan, International Manager, Asia Pacific.
JCI (Joint Commission International) is the world’s leader in health care accreditation and the author and evaluator of the most rigorous international standards in quality and patient safety. JCI-American based headquarter organization has extensive operations in 80 countries worldwide since 1994. JCI standards are patient-centric, particularly in patient safety, quality of healthcare and quality management system, in addition, those standards incorporate considerations of comprehensive patients rights, educations, communication, psychology, culture of patients, patient representatives and healthcare staffs.
The Prestigious JCI Medal
In 2009, the Joint Commission International (JCI), an organization dedicated to safety in health care around the world, accredited the hospital with the Gold Seal of Approval, making Cao Thang Eye Hospital the only and first JCI-accredited eye care specialist in Vietnam. Simultaneously, JCI standard certifications is renewed in 2012 and 2016. Those are the milestones of the Cao Thang Eye Hospital marking internationalization, integration and extension of collaborative relationship with healthcare network in the Asian region.

On the event of JCI organization reaches the milestone of 1000 accredited healthcare organizations worldwide, Cao Thang Eye Hospital is honored to receive JCI order of merit medal awarded by Mr. John Yoon, Managing Director for JCI Asia Pacific. Mr. John is highly appreciated to have warm greetings of the Board Directors of Cao Thang Eye Hospital, at the reception, for his part, Mr. John also listens the feedback of hospital and exchanges between organizations about the related JCI standard applications in Vietnam and the updated JCI standards which will be put into effects in mid June 2019.
