Pediatric Ophthalmology

Some eye conditions can disrupt the proper visual development of a child. Cao Thang Eye Hospital’s Pediatric Ophthalmology Service sees to children’s eye care, by detecting eye diseases and helping visual development. Cao Thang Eye Hospital’s Pediatric Ophtalmology Service consists of fully-accredited ophthalmologists, specialized in early childhood eye conditions.

Our Ophthalmologists' Approach of Symptoms & Care
A child is a patient with very unique symptoms and care needs.

An eye condition can alter a child’s behaviour in many ways: head turns, head tilts, squinting of the eyes, preferred head postures, are therefore symptoms that require evaluation by a pediatric ophthalmolgist.

Babies older than 3 months should be able to follow an object in motion with their eyes.

If steady eye contact is not possible at 3 months of age, consulting a pediatric ophthalmologist becomes necessary.
